Porto is a city with a quite a lot of humidity which gives a lower thermal sensation during winter, although it’s quite cool in the summer. Summer temperatures are not exceedingly high, circa an average temperature of 25ºC. Winter is normally marked by heavy rain and strong winds, with average temperatures of around 14ºC. On cooler nights, the temperature can reach down below freezing, although this is not common.

The wettest months are November and December; the coldest are January and February, and the warmest are June and July.
